Ministry of Food Processing Industry (MoFPI) has launched the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan with the aim to enhance the competitiveness of existing individual micro-enterprises in the unorganized segment of the food processing industry and promote formalization of the sector.

Amol Chidrawar is food technologist by profession and working with ITCOT Consultancy and services Ltd. as a DY VP.  He has 17 years in the sector including food processing industry and consultancy. During the course of professional experience in industry worked on a wide range of profiles from production , quality and supply chain, whereas, in the service industry he worked in consulting and advisory firms. It played a vital role in project designing for different projects allied with post harvest and food processing sectors for private as well as different state and Central Government agencies. Is actively working on projects like cold chain infrastructure, warehouses, mega food park and PMFME etc. He believes his professional education and practical experience in the sector helped him a lot while designing the  accurate projects. He has also closely worked with central and state Government schemes related to the Agro processing sector towards monitoring , evaluation and implementation. Currently working on projects of cold storage , pack houses and Onion storage infrastructure in different states.
