Naturopathy, or naturopathic medicine, is a form of alternative medicine.[1] It employs an array of pseudoscientific practices branded as “natural”, “non-invasive”, or promoting “self-healing”.

Naturopathy is an art and science of healthy living and a drug less system. It has its own concept of health and disease and also the principle of treatment. In today’s age, Naturopathy is Recognized and well accepted as an independent System of medicine. Naturopathy advocates aiding the human system to remove the cause of disease i.e. toxins by expelling the unwanted and unused matters from the human body for curing diseases. Nature is the greatest healer. The human body itself has the healing power to prevent itself from disease and regain health if unhealthy.

According to Naturopathy, “Food is only the Medicine”, no external medications are used. Nature has provided mankind with abundance of fruits and vegetables, cereals, pulses, legumes, nuts, milk, egg, meat, poultry and seafood etc. to choose for a healthy diet. Every food group is rich in essential elements e.g. fruits and vegetables are good source of vitamins, minerals and fibers. Cereals and pulses are rich in carbohydrates and moderate protein source and food from animal origin is rich in proteins. Therefore, a balanced and moderate quantity of these food groups in diet is responsible for increased immunity and a healthy body.

This lecture series gives you a glance of Health Management using a balanced food diet along with physical activity and hygiene practices. The lecture elaborates on various nutritional and health benefits of plant-based food particularly fruit and vegetables in the human diet. It also discusses in detail stress management through yoga practice in modern days . An ideal diet should be rich in fruits and vegetables with moderate amounts of cereals and pulses and less amount of sugars and meat products. A proper safe and nutritious food along with yoga exercise and stress management is the key to long and healthy life.
