General Introduction to ISO / IEC 17025:2017 & NABL

Introduction

The food companies, Government agencies regulating the food standards and its safety in India and Across the world mostly rely on the food testing results from external or third-party Laboratories. This creates a need of having a globally recognized system which will ensure industry and regulatory authorities that the testing results are aligned with international standards and are globally accepted. Global acceptance of laboratory results will motivate international trade with ease. In this regard the course will help you to understand how the National and International laboratories recognition system works. This half hour course gives a brief idea about the international laboratory assessment and accreditation system along with process to apply for Indian system i.e. NABL. The trainer Ms. Madhuri Yeldare from Kulkarni Laboratory nicely presented the content reflecting her vast experience in testing laboratories and accreditation.

Madhuri Yeldare has more than a decade experience in the field of microbiology. She is currently Technical Head of Microbiology department of Kulkarni Laboratory Pune. She completed MSc in microbiology from Shivaji University Kolhapur. Prior to this she has worked with Skytus Industries, Maarc Labs, and Aqua lite Industries. She has been trained on ISO 17025, ISO 17025: 2017, and Measurement Uncertainty Training Program for Microbiological Parameters. She is a NABL authorized signatory. She has sound knowledge in Indian Standards, ISO, USFDA BAM, AOAC, APHA for microbiological analysis in water and food matrix.
